Summer’s 10 Minute Fitness Challenge

Do you have 10 minutes a day to devote to yourself? I bet you do! This is your wake up call to spend a minimum of 10 minutes every day on yourself because, well, you deserve it. So, let’s dive into Summer’s 10-Minute Daily Fitness Challenge – a simple yet powerful routine designed to keep your fitness momentum going, whether you’re just starting or maintaining the groove.

 

Why 10 Minutes?

Longer isn’t always better. In fact, my clients achieve great results in 30-minute sessions. The 10-minute daily commitment is a game-changer, especially when life gets hectic!

 

Getting Started:

If motivation is an issue, check out this quick video where I share some fantastic “get started” tips. Remember, the key is to keep moving forward. 10 minutes is nothing in the grand scheme of things!

 

The Challenge: Set your timer for 10 minutes, and let’s get started! Here’s how the challenge works and and outline of what each day could look like:

 

  1. Day 1 (Sunday): “Primer” Mobility Work
    • Upper Body Swings with Butt Kicks
    • Front Leg Swings
    • Side Leg Swings
    • Arm Circles
    • Trunk Rotations
  2. Day 2 (Monday):
    • Wide Squats or Sit on a Chair
    • Mountain Climbers or March in Place
  3. Day 3 (Tuesday): Ladder Day
    • Jumping Jacks or Side-to-Side Taps
    • High Knees or Marching in Place
  4. Day 4 (Wednesday): Ladder Day
    • Push-ups (Modify as Needed)
    • Crunches (Floor or Stability Ball)
  5. Day 5 (Thursday):
    • Kettlebell Swings
    • Squat to Press with Bell (Or Improvise)
  6. Day 6 (Friday):
    • Super Woman
    • Glute Bridge
  7. Day 7 (Saturday): “Grand Slam” Workout
    • Squat Thrust to Knee Slam
    • Seated Twist
    • Squat Thrust or Overhead Pull
    • Woodchoppers

 

You don’t need hours; 10 minutes is powerful! Ten little minutes, each day, keep both your body and mind primed to stay in the routine of exercise or to get started, if this is a new journey. This simple 10-minute challenge, or daily habit, has been the key to my most successful clients staying on track, especially when life gets tough, and it will.
